FAQs

To check the status of a shipment made with TNT, you will need the tracking number given to you by the sender. This number is on your receipt or waybill. To track the order go to https://tnt-tracking.com/ and click on the tracking tab.  Type the tracking number there and click the “Search” button. After a few moments the current status of your parcel and details of its delivery steps will be displayed on the screen, such as the current location of the parcel and other updates.

A TNT tracking number is a unique alphanumeric code given to a parcel for monitoring its progress during delivery.  This number lets you track the parcel across its journey from dispatch to final delivery.

When you ship via TNT, two numbers are important:  The order number and the parcel number.

Order Number:  When you place an order for shipping, you are assigned an order number. This number is recorded in TNT’s system and is used for identifying your order in the database to which you are able to access details of your order, including service type and delivery details.

Parcel Number:  The number that is used to track the parcel within TNT’s network is called the parcel number or tracking number.  This number helps to monitor the shipping process and gives you an opportunity to know where your parcel is currently and when it will arrive.

  • Use the order number for your order identification and information.
  • Enter the parcel number in the tracking search bar to know the current status of your parcel and its delivery time.

These two numbers make TNT services more transparent and convenient for you.

When tracking information is no longer being updated, there can be several reasons that could be responsible:

  • The shipment may have been sent using an economical shipping method that does not offer tracking.
  • This may also be a technological or a delay from TNT’s side.
  • Contact TNT customer service if you feel the parcel is lost. You can also contact the seller for further clarification.

For untraceable TNT parcels, check after a few weeks for any notifications from TNT or a local post office. You may receive a notification in your letterbox or can call your local post office for more details.  Additionally, TNT provides status updates if the parcel has crossed international borders or reached customs.

Once TNT receives the parcel and processes it, tracking usually becomes available within 2–7 days. The parcel must be scanned, registered, and placed in their database before tracking info appears.

This can happen for a few reasons:

  • TNT hasn’t scanned the parcel yet.
  • There might be an issue with the tracking number itself.
  • If tracking info is still unavailable after some days, contact the seller or have a word with the TNT customer service.

Sometimes, sellers may provide incorrect tracking numbers, especially in untraceable shipping methods.  If the tracking info doesn’t appear, and the order is protected, open a dispute with the seller and report the issue to TNT.  Always monitor the protection period to ensure a refund if the item doesn’t arrive.

If the tracking shows “Export” and your parcel seems stuck, this typically means there’s a delay at customs or sorting centers.  Normally, delays last 30-50 days.  In most cases, the parcel will still reach you.  If the delay is too long, contact TNT to investigate or request more details.

If your TNT parcel is taking longer than expected, first check its tracking status. If it doesn’t show any updates or gets stuck in the system, contact TNT customer support for assistance. Always make sure your parcel is covered by buyer protection, and if the parcel is lost, request a refund from the seller.

If your TNT parcel is coming from abroad, use the TNT tracking page as you would for domestic tracking.  International parcels will also show updates based on the relevant customs and sorting centers, but tracking may be slower if the item is going through multiple transit points.
